Although he may be too shy to speak up, Mika has joinedGenshin Impact’sever-growing roster of playable characters. This four-star unit wields a polearm and uses his cryo vision to explore the world of Teyvat, all while drawing maps for the Knights of Favonius.

Since Mika is a support that focuses on healing his teammates with his elemental burst, and increasing attack speed and physical damage with his elemental skill, you will want to equip this cartographer with weapons that increase his energy recharge. If you are curious about which polearms are the best choices for this shy support, then look no further.

8Missive Windspear - Four Star

The Missive Windspear is somewhat of an honorable mention for Mika, since the weapon provides absolutely no improvements that he can utilize. However, this spear is the perfect choice for anyone that prioritizes your character’s aesthetics over their damage, since the color scheme of this polearm matches Mika’s outfit perfectly.

Sadly, this four-star polearm was only available through a limited time event during patch 3.1, so you can no longer obtain this spear. While Mika can utilize the attack bonuses this weapon provides, the elemental mastery is essentially useless for Mika, making this spear a purely cosmetic choice.

7The Catch - Four Star

Since Mika needs energy recharge to consistently heal his teammates, The Catch is a subpar free-to play-option for anyone who has not already obtained more viable weapons from wishing. To obtain The Catch, you will have to speak with the fisherman in Inazuma City and collect various fish across the entire world of Teyvat.

Specifically, this weapon provides a substantial 45.9 percent boost to your energy recharge stat, so Mika will be able to constantly cast his burst. However, The Catch’s passive improves elemental burst damage and crit rate, two stats that are essentially useless on Mika as his burst is not used to damage enemies. If you currently have no better options for Mika, then The Catch is a justifiable option, but keep in mind that many other characters in the game will make better use of this spear.

6Black Tassel - Three Star

Although the Black Tassel is only a three-star polearm, this spear is still an incredibly viable option. To obtain this polearm, you will need to wish on any banner in the game, and will most likely already have this spear if you have wished for Mika.

While this weapon may not boost attack, the massive 46.9 percent increase to HP will make Mika’s healing more potent, since the elemental burst scales based of off Mika’s max HP. While the bonus damage to slimes is a somewhat useless passive, this polearm is still a nice pick if your Mika already has enough energy recharge to consistently cast his elemental burst.

5Kitain Cross Spear - Four Star

Unlocked in Inazuma, the Kitain Cross Spear is a craftable weapon that is a respectable choice for anyone that is free-to-play. Tounlock the blueprint for this weapon, you will have to complete ‘Orobashi’s Legacy’ on Yashiori Island.

The Kitain Cross Spear is an interesting weapon, since it sacrifices a small portion of your energy to make your elemental skill deal more damage. However, at high refinement levels, you will actually regenerate more energy than you lost, which will help Mika cast his elemental burst consistently.

4Prototype Starglitter - Four Star

The Prototype Starglitter is a craftable weapon that can be equipped on Mika, making this polearm a great choice for free-to-play players. If you are in need of a weapon to quickly give to your Mika, then head over to Mondstadt andcraft this spear at the blacksmith.

Similar to other four-star polearms on this list, the Prototype Starglitter offers a nice amount of energy recharge, which allows Mika to recharge his elemental burst faster. Furthermore, using an elemental skill while wielding the Prototype Starglitter increases your character’s normal and charged attack damage. While Mika’s attacks certainly do not hit hard, he will still appreciate the boost to his energy recharge.

3Skyward Spine - Five Star

If you are interested in equipping Mika with a five-star polearm, then the Skyward Spine is a great option. Since the Skyward Spine is a five-star weapon, it can only be obtained through wishing on the standard banner; however, it’s recommended that you save up your wishes for event banners instead.

This weapon provides the user with a substantial amount of energy recharge, and also focuses on bolstering the wielder’s attack speed and crit rate. This well-rounded spear assists Mika by recharging his burst quickly, and provides a nice damage increase to his elemental skill and basic attacks. However, since Mika is not a DPS character, this polearm is better utilized by other damage dealers in the game.

2Engulfing Lightning - Five Star

The Engulfing Lightning is a five-star polearm that focuses on improving both the attack and energy recharge of the wielder. This weapon was released alongside the Raiden Shogun and can only be obtained by wishing on the weapon banner during a specific time period.

The Engulfing Lightning is a great option for Mika, since it will provide him with a massive amount of energy recharge, allowing him to heal his allies more consistently. The weapon also converts a portion of the wielder’s energy recharge into attack, so you will be able to damage enemies much easier. With that being said, while this weapon does greatly improve Mika, many other four-star and five-star units can better utilize the raw power that this weapon provides.

1Favonius Lance - Four Star

Similar to almost every other polearm support in the game, Mika’s best-in-slot choice is the Favonius Lance. This four star polearm is only obtainable by wishing on character and weapon banners, but if you have played the game for a long period of time, then you have most likely gotten this weapon at least once.

The Favonius Lance outperforms every other polearm in the game because it offers 30.6 percent energy recharge, which will help Mika obtain his elemental burst faster to heal his teammates. On top of the energy recharge, the Favonius Lance passive generates three additional energy particles when you successfully land a critical hit. Since Mika will typically be played on teams with two cryo units, the elemental resonance will boost his crit rate, making it easier to land attacks that crit and quickly switch to other characters to collect the generated particles.
