Pokemon Goplayers will once again be given the chance to celebrate the game’s anniversary via Go Fest this summer as the massively popular AR game turns seven. Hard to believe Pokemon Go has almost been around for seven years already, and even harder to believe Go Fest has never come to the UK during that period. That changes in 2023 asNiantichas confirmed Go Fest is coming to London’s Brockwell Park
Reported byEurogamer, this year’s Go Fest begins on August 4 and runs through to August 6. While you will need a ticket to access Brockwell Park, where most of the unannounced research and activities will take place, there will be other things you may do throughout Greater London, some of which can presumably be accessed, played, and unlocked without needing to buy a ticket.

Even though Go Fest has a hub every year, it’s a global event in which all players can participate. Not only will there be plenty to do on the aforementioned weekend even if you can’t make it to London, there will likely be research and other stuff to do the world over. There will also be a Go Fest event in Osaka, Japan on the same weekend as London’s, and then another event in New York between August 18 and August 20.
Niantic is yet to reveal what exactly this year’s Go Fest theme will be, which newPokemonwill debut during it, and what exactly trainers will be tasked with doing over the course of the three days. Those details are normally hammered out publicly much closer to the time. Pokemon Go does have a taller mountain to climb than usual when it comes to winning back some of its players, though. The recent changes to remote raid passeshave upset a lot of people and evenresulted in some taking a break from the game.
Remote raid passes wereintroduced to Pokemon Go during the pandemicso players were able to continue raiding without having to leave the house. Despite the pandemic coming to an end, some of you who can’t leave the house or live in areas where other players and Pokemon gyms are scarce have come to rely on remote raids. The changes now in place have made remote raid passes more expensive and limited the number that can be used per day.
