Far Cry 6is finally coming toSteamnext month, after a lengthy exclusivity period with theEpic Games Store. Right now, anyone who wants to avoid the Epic Games Store has to get it throughUbisoft’s own Uplay, having skipped Steam at launch altogether.

But now, Far Cry 6 will be added to Steam alongsideRiders RepublicandRainbow Six Extraction. They will join other Ubisoft big hitters likeAssassin’s Creed Valhalla, which wasadded to the service last December. This is part of Ubisoft’s efforts to share its library around once again, having previously tried to entice players over to Uplay, and arrange deals with Epic on its rival storefront.

As spotted byPC Gamer, Steam pages for Far Cry 6, Riders Republic, and Rainbow Six Extraction are now live. They’re not available to play just yet, as they all have various release dates in the late spring and summer months.

Fans of Ubisoft’s single-player offerings won’t be in for much of a wait, with Far Cry 6 set to launch on May 11. It will come alongside all of the updates added since its launch in 2021.

Extraction and Riders Republic, however, will both be with us in June. None of these games are available to pre-order, so it doesn’t seem that Ubisoft is planning any exclusive perks for those who purchase early.

In any case, this will come as a welcome addition to many PC players, who often resent having to download multiple different stores and launchers to play the games they want. Some PC enthusiasts will even outright refuse to play a game until it launches on Steam, so Far Cry 6 could see an uptick in fans when it comes to the platform next month.

It remains to be seen which games from Ubisoft’s back catalogue come to Steam next, but this is a pretty strong sign that other titles won’t be exclusive to either Epic Games Store or Uplay either. It’s possible that a deal with Epic expired, or it simply wasn’t a profitable move for the company’s PC games. It now seems likely that future titles will simply launch on Steam, or at least get added further down the line as these games have.

This isn’t the only way that Ubisoft has been sharing its game library as of late. Last week,Ubisoft+ was added to Xbox through the Multi Access Plan. At $17.99 a month, it’s a pricy deal, even more expensive than $14.99 a month for Game Pass Ultimate. But it will let you play new Ubisoft games from the first day of launch at no extra cost.
