There are several ways to collect cards and improve your team in Diamond Dynasty, including Conquest. This game mode uses similar mechanics from the board game Risk, as you try to take control of the map. We examine everything you need to know in order to be successful in playing Conquest.
What Is Conquest?
Just based on the name “Conquest,” your ultimate goal is tocontrol the entire map. Fans are used toconquering and defending territories, so the more fans you have on your side means the easier it will be to take over the map. There aretwo ways for you to gain fans: capturing more territories or stealing fans.
For everythree territories you own, you’ll earnone fan per turn. This means if you have nine territories in your possession, you’ll earn three fans for that turn.
There arethree tutorial mapsthat we recommend you should play first to learn the basics of Conquest. Not only are they helpful in understanding the concept of Conquest but they offer quick and easy rewards to claim.
Batter Up 3
The starting point for all teams in Conquest are known asStrongholds. These special territories are labeled on the map by the opposing teams' logos. Attempting to take over a Stronghold requires a lot of fans.The higher number of fans you have over your opponent, theeasier the game will be.
Teams won’t receive as many fans to reinforce in Conquest compared to you, sobe patient and build up your armiesbefore attacking Strongholds.
Conquest Phases
Conquest is split intofour phases: Attack, Steal Fans, Reinforce, and Move.
Move Fans Phase
Stealing fans isn’t necessaryto clear Conquest maps. We actually recommendnot stealing fans, as this just prolongs your inevitable domination. Simply play the long game andstockpile fans to overpower Strongholds.
Conquest Goals
Each Conquest map has adifferent set of goalsbut one will remain the same for all of them:taking over the map. As long as your goal is complete and utter domination, you’ll accomplish all the goals associated with each Conquest map.
In addition to the prizes won by completing goals, there arehidden prizesscattered across the map that you’re able to unlock when you claim the territory. These prizes includeStubs, card packs, Season experience points, and single cards used in Diamond Dynasty.
