They enable Ryza to gather more resources and materials for her Alchemy and give her new ways to navigate the world, broadening how she can explore and find those valuable resources. There are many Survival Tools to make, and all of them are crucial to helping Ryza become the best Alchemist around.
Survival Tools Overview
As mentioned above,Survival Toolsare the backbone of your adventure, allowing you toacquire more materialswhen harvesting minerals, plants, gasses, and more. The higher quality your Survival Tools are, and the Effects and Traits applied to them, will ultimately decide how good the materials you pull from nodes are, making them crucial for your Alchemy.
Furthermore, there are alsoSurvival Toolsthat are moregeared toward exploration,allowing you todive underwater, swing over large gaps, and even summon a Mountto make navigating the open world at a much greater pace than before. Gathering Survival Tools
Gathering Survival Toolsrefer to the Tools you use toobtain resources and materialsfrom nodes, enabling you to be selective of what you get from them. SomeGathering Nodeswill give youvarious materials depending on what Tool you chooseto harvest them with. Youshould always have one of every Gathering Toolequipped, as it will allow you to quickly swap to the one you need if you stumble across a resource you need or one you haven’t acquired yet.

SomeGathering Survival Toolswill also grant youunique combat bonusesif youhit a monster with it to initiate the encounter,which we will quickly cover in the table below. If possible, you should always try hitting the enemy with the following Survival Tools for a slight advantage in battle that can quickly snowball in your favor.
Exploration Survival Tools
Exploration Survival Toolsare exceptional Tools that allow you toaccess new areasandgather unique materials.These Tools range fromenabling the ability to dive underwater to being able to Summon in a Mountto make exploration faster and more efficient. Air Drop
Allows you todive underwaterin areas where the water is deep, giving youaccess to the depth of the oceans,which opens up the possibility of finding unique and rare materials and secrets.This item is crucial for fully exploring Kark Isles and other regions that have deep waters. you may craft theAir Dropas early as you like. You will just needspecific materialsto do so, which you can find in the table below!
Wind Shoes
Enables you toslide down slopes or steep inclines,granting youimmense momentum and speed.TheWind Shoeswill help makenavigating the open world faster and more exhilaratingas you will soar down hills, ramps, and all sorts of inclines and slopes to get from point A to B. The Wind Shoes are available from the jump but requirespecific materialsto make at your Atelier.
Emerald Band
TheEmerald Bandallows you toswing over marked gapsandreach new areaswith aRopethat acts as agrappling hook,making it crucial to make it as early as possible to gain access to rare materials. Some areElemental Specific,meaning youmust craft several Emerald Bands of different Elementsfor some regions. You can alsofind Emerald Band spotson yourmapby looking for theRing Icon.
Before you canSynthesizetheEmerald Band,you must first obtain it in theSkill Tree.For this, you mustacquiretheGathering: Quantity Boost Lv. 1 Skillfirst, making theEmerald Band Skill Recipeavailable for unlock. Once that is taken care of, you will need to get your hands onspecific materials,which you can find in the table below.
Summoner’s Bell
SummonaSpirit Beastinto the open world that willmake exploration much faster and more efficient.It will serve as yourMountand enable you toDig up materials and resourcesat marked spots scattered all around each region. However, before you can craft theSummoner’s Bell,you must firstprogress through the storyuntil youbuild your first Atelierin theCleria region.After you do that, Ryza will come up with therecipeautomatically, and all you will need to bring it into existence are thematerials.
