Minecraft Legendsis all about how you, the hero, strategize and save the day. While there aren’t a ton of customization options, you at least get to pick your appearance. There are multiple heroes to choose from when you starta playthrough. They’re cosmetic only, however.

That doesn’t mean some aren’t better than others. It could be immersion or the coolness factor that drives your decision. With no in-game bonuses or special abilities based on the hero you pick, it really comes down to personal preference. You’ll want to go with the one that stands out among the crowd and makes you look like a true hero.
10Generic Armor
The first Minecraft Legends hero you’ll see on the list is rather generic. It is a hero covered in armor from head to toe. The gray color scheme does nothing to make them unique when compared to the rest of the heroes in the game.
If you want a basic hero that might not take your attention away from the storyline, this is the perfect choice. Otherwise, you’ll be choosing a faceless character with no background. It just isn’t that appealing when you see what else is available.

9Red And Ready
The third starter skin on the selection screen is colorful, but nothing special. It is great to see the diversity of Minecraft Legends, though. There are heroes with varying skin colors, hairstyles, and outfits. This one just doesn’t fit the war theme of the game.
There will definitely be some of you that relate to this character and choose it. That’s fantastic and you definitely should, but for those wanting a hero fit forbattle with piglins, this one doesn’t look the part. It appears to have plain clothing on rather than any sort of armor.

8Blue Hair Don’t Care
Most of the heroes in Minecraft Legends have a fairly normal hair color, but one comes with bright blue. The rest of this hero’s outfit is green and what looks like brown leather. It is an interesting choice that definitely makes for a hero that stands out.

If you want a middle-of-the-pack hero appearance, the blue-haired, green-hooded option is for you. They don’t have an outlandish set of armor, but it looks ready for a fight. There are just simply cooler heroes available to start with.
7Turquoise On Top
The turquoise color scheme of the fourth starter hero is much more visually appealing than its red counterpart. That gives them a huge boost. This will be a bright and shining character as youdestroy hordes of piglins.
Still, they don’t look ready for war. There are no magic spells or attacks other than sword strikes for your hero in Minecraft Legends, so it just doesn’t fit well. If you want the wild color and variation in appearance from other heroes, go for it.

6Purple And Yellow Protector
For those looking for a regal hero with a darker skin color, this one is fantastic. This afro’d character is adorned with purple and yellow. That makes them the number one choice for any Los Angeles Lakers or Minnesota Vikings fans.
This protector brings a distinctive tone compared to the other heroes in the game. It is interesting because while they don’t look like a warrior, they don’t seem out of place. It is more like a kingleading their troopsinto battle when you wave your banner and ride your mount.

5Red Hair Heroine
This hero has been at the front of Minecraft Legends' promotional efforts. They are the counterpart to the one with blue hair and a green hood. If you’ve viewed a trailer or any posters for the action-style RTS, you’ve probably seen the red-haired, hooded hero.

They look like a character that was pulled in from the real world, made an outfit with what they could find, and decided to help with the ongoing war effort. That allows you to create all sorts of lore for the hero. This one sets a solid standard for the rest.
4Helmeted Elegance
The lighter-colored helmeted hero is beautiful. They look as though they have been dropped from the heavens to defeat the piglins and save the world in Minecraft Legends. When heading into battle, this is one hero you’d want at your side.
Yes, there’s nothing extra that comes when you select a hero, but it is all about the feeling with this one. They exude confidence. When you’re playing as it, you won’t be unstoppable, but you will definitely act like it.

3Experience Comes With Age
The first hero in the second row of starter heroes is quite the choice to make. They have a white afro, meaning they are more than likely an older individual. It is very interesting to depict this older person riding into battle with dozens of golems at their back to fight the piglins.
Imagine they’ve lived in the Minecraft Legends world for a while and their home is suddenly under attack. They take up arms, dress in an emerald color scheme, anddrive off the invaders. This hero skin is unconventional, but very believable.

2Pink Power
The dark version of the helmeted hero looks more powerful. They are an exemplary warrior in comparison to the other heroes. The pink colors make it stand out, but it does not distract from the fact that this is meant to be a champion.
In terms of appearance, this hero is hard to beat. The same can be said about the story you can make up for why they are fighting the piglins. It ties together the cartoon aspects of Minecraft with the war theme of Minecraft Legends perfectly.

1Skeleton Face
If you are having trouble deciding which starter hero you want to choose in Minecraft Legends, look no further. The skeleton hero outdoes them all, including some of those you can purchase as additional content.
Their face and body have skeletal designs and their overall colors match well with it. They have the look of an anti-hero, but you can use them to save the world. It really is the total package. The Skeleton Face looks like a warrior, it’s cool, and it’s one of the free heroes available when you launch the game.
