If there’s one thing in anyMetroidgame that has the most impact on whether you’ll survive to the end, it’s the number of Energy Tanks you collect. There are always a few softballs, but finding every single one takes a bit of sleuthing. Some require puzzles, and some require backtracking, destroying objects, ordiscovering secrets.

A terminal is powered on in a cutscene.

If you slide off the corner when you try to roll onto the next level, you may be jumping the gun.

Try not to touch the walls and only lean left when you’re at or near the top.

Samus powers another terminal.

If you know immediately that your timing is off, roll away before the second bomb goes offso you don’t fall through.

There are a couple ofspots in this area to practice; use them to get your timing right.

Boost over to the opposite side of the half-pipe and detonate a bomb in the other slot.A magnetic rail appears, along with a pistonthat will take you up to it.
