Grand Theft Auto 5is a game that has stood the test of time, not without credit to the heavily supported and still thrivingGTA Online. However, outside of the popular online mode has always been the story of Michael, Franklin, and Trevor, as their paths take them from heist to heist across the locations of Los Santos and Blaine County.

Note: There Will Be Major Spoilers For Grand Theft Auto 5 To Follow

4First Lines
Michael and Trevor’s start to the game takes place years before the events of the story, where they arepulling off a robbery at a bank. They’re in the midst of it when we are introduced to them, ordering the hostages at the bank to listen and do as they say. A high-stakes situation, and one that throws you - and them - right into the mix.
Franklin’s first line is shortly after this sequence, once we’re up to speed with Michael in the modern day. Franklin is bickering with Lamar - as usual - as they pass Michael on the beachfront in Los Santos, right before they repossess some cars in the area. Lamar is wondering where the house is, and Franklin is meeting him with sarcasm, which will be the first of many instances.

3Last Lines - Ending A: Kill Trevor
Thefirst of your choice of endings to GTA 5sees Franklin decide to kill Trevor. He calls up Michael to help with the situation, which he agrees to. While Michael and Trevor were best friends, Michael expresses that Trevor may have gone too far too many times, and needs to be stopped.

Trevor’s final line is him shouting while lying injured in a pool of gasoline, right before Franklin sets it alight. Franklin then thanks Michael for all of the help he has given him, perhaps genuine or sarcastic, or both. Michael just tells Franklin that he needs to look out for himself, and to survive, before leaving.
2Last Lines - Ending B: Kill Michael
The second ending of GTA 5 isarguably the worst of the bunch, and ultimately makes little sense. Here, Franklin decides to kill Michael, rather than Trevor. After calling Trevor to let him know, Franklin is met with anger, and Trevor wants nothing to do with it.
Trevor tells Franklin that he and Michael deserve each other, calling them both traitors, and angrily hangs up. Michael exclaims that he’ll bring down Franklin with him, while hanging over the edge of a rail. Franklin’s final line here is in a voicemail to Lamar after the events, as he looks to return to his old life.

1Last Lines - Ending C: Deathwish
In this final and most popular ending to the game, Franklin decides against killing either Michael or Trevor. Most people pick this one, and it has generally become the canon ending for the game, if GTA Online is anything to go by. Instead of killing either friend, Franklin teams up with them one more time to finally be rid of their enemies and those manipulating them -the best outcome for them all.
Once all is said and done, Trevor’s final line is a dig at Michael - which, as we know, is probably out of love… love, and a little bit of hate. Franklin’s final line is directed toward Michael and Trevor as he’s leaving on his bike, expressing his fear of becoming like them; angry, bitter, and a little bit unpredictable. Michael’s final line is a simple one, and a fitting one - one that can easily be quite relatable for everyone, but also feels like a final line from one of those classic movies he loves so much. What better way to close off this dramatic tale in Los Santos?
