Dragon Ballfans are roasting and making memes about the weirdly stern-looking render of Goku that’s featured on the cover ofDragon Ball XenoVerse 2.
The Dragon Ball community has always been very active,but the recent announcement of Dragon Ball Budokai Tenkaichi 4seems to have kicked things back into overdrive. A few weeks ago,the community was roasting the first Budokai Tenkaichi game’s iconically weird intro, and now it’s moved on to making memes about an incredibly angry version of Goku that can be seen on the cover of one of the series' most popular games.

Dragon Ball XenoVerse 2 is known for a lot of things - a deep character creator, gameplay that stands next to Budokai Tenkaichi, and a seemingly never-ending amount of content just to name a few. Now it’s becoming known for something completely different - the scariest Goku render you’ve ever seen in your life.
That’s right, over the past few months, Dragon Balls fans have realised that the version of Goku that can be seen on XenoVerse 2’s key art is prime meme material. You might not have realised it at first, but take a closer look - have you ever seen the kind-hearted Goku ever look so pissed off in your life? Initial Super Saiyan transformation aside, Goku’s never given a grimace like this and it is uncanny.
This has led to the community making a bunch of different memes featuring XenoVerse 2 Goku.Twitter user shiny244 has a thread with over 11.1 thousand likes that collects together some of the best memes, but the format usually has a character mildly disrespecting Goku, which causes the XenoVerse 2 face to pop up on screen with the Prowler’s theme from Into the Spider-Verse while Goku destroys them.
So far there are versions of the memetaking place in Fortnite, through clips of Dragon Ball Z and Dragon Ball Super, andeven some based around Dragon Ball FighterZ. It’s a little strange that Angry Goku has only just become a thing considering XenoVerse 2 released back in 2016 and this render has been around for just as long, but if it leads to more great memes of Goku getting irrationally angry at stuff, then we’re all for it.
