Some of them can be activated at any time as long as you simply find the character or item that opens this quest in the story journal. However, some become unavailable without you even realizing it. Others are very well hidden and even require specific character traits to be completed.

7Healing Touch

Afterescaping Fort Joy, you’ll eventually find your way to the Sanctuary of Amadia. This Seeker outpost has seen better days and so have a few soldiers to the east of it. Matis, Klaud, and Jules are laying in makeshift tents badly injured, the rebels’ amateur medic overwhelmed by their wounds. If you help her and save the soldiers, you get the achievement.

They’ll also fight the Magisters with you later. Be careful though, as they’ll die if you start healing them and don’t finish the process before moving away.

6The Ugly Little Bird

North of Driftwood on Reaper’s Coast, there are vast meadows. They might not seem like much apart from occasional weak loot. However, in the tall grass, you may find an ugly and sickly-looking creature. It’s an attackable chicken. If a character with the Pet Pal talent talks to it, you’re able to persuade it to let itself be killed out of mercy.

The poor bird’s fate is fully in your hands. You either finish its suffering or, if your character is also a scholar, you’re able to give it a new life. Knowledgeable characters realize it is a phoenix that lost its memories and if it is burned alive, it can be reborn as one again. Any fire spell will transform it into an egg. What you do with the egg, whether you eat it for a new skill unlock or keep it to make a new friend, is up to you.

5A Taste Of Freedom

Mordus is a witty and resourceful dwarf. It is not a surprise he keeps his secrets very well hidden. Therefore, this quest won’t be handed to you on a silver platter. Yes, you get the first hint about it in his basement in Driftwood, where on a wall you’ll find a skull that has a red gem inside one of its eye sockets, but there is not much explicit direction afterward.

The skull is in fact a lock on a secret door. To open it, you need to get Mordus’s amulet, which in turn serves as a lock to another hidden room in Wrecker’s Cave where the missing eye of the skull is kept. After a long trek, the mysterious basement is opened for you. Beyond even more puzzles, you’ll find out Mordus had locked up a lich under his house. After this point, the ultimate end step of the quest is to have him reclaim his own Soul Jar. Whether you do it with or without killing him first, or siding with him or not, is your choice that leads to multiple different story branches.

4The Weaver

If you have arachnophobia, you might want to skip this one. The name of the quest refers to a giant spider occupying two rooms in Ryker’s mansion in the graveyard at Reaper’s Coast. She is not hostile and will not attack unless you provoke her. She’s an intelligent creature but only characters with thePet Pal talentcan understand her.

She wants you to bring her food in the form of body parts of humans, elves, dwarves, or lizards. When she is satisfied, she rewards you with a pair of Silk Gloves, possibly of her own production, and tells you more about her relationship with the creepy elf necromancer.

3The Bark’s Bite

The area around the Lone Wolves’ Camp might look peaceful with the forest and river surrounding it. However, as you later discover as a part of either Ifan’s or Saheilla’s story, this place has witnessed much suffering. Spirit Vision will show you multiple ghosts around the camp, all of them angry and vengeful. Perhaps the most unique one is a piece of wood shining with spirit magic.

It is a still partially intact soul of an elf inside livewood. The spirit wants you to take revenge on the sawmill’s foreman but he is already dead. Thus, you need to dig out his nearby grave and use Source Vampirism on his soul.

2Bound By Pain

Bloodmoon Island is the most prominent by its otherworldly-looking atmosphere and creepy soundtrack. If demons are not keeping you too busy, you might stumble upon one of the multiple vaults. Some are, however, unique because of the statues guarding them. Your scholar character is once again vital in continuing further because the only way to get through one of the statues includes deciphering a hymnal.

Inside the vault, you’ll find a dwarf chained to pillars. Quite an ominous picture, considering the unnatural glow of the chains and him being seemingly alone in the room. That couldn’t be farther from the truth as a demon is inside him, tormenting him. Magical chains and possessed people are always dangerous to deal with, so tread carefully. How you act in this room might result in more outcomes, from the demon possessing you instead to the dwarf wreaking havoc in the small vault.

1Silence Broken

This quest is another case of being able to help out or doom a tormented person. And as is common in Rivellon, demons are involved, even though it might not look like it at first glance. A little girl at the docks near the main harbor outside Arx also seems innocent. However, she is talking to herself, not in a playful manner.

As opposed to other possessed people, she is too far gone to talk to you. Instead, you talk with the demon right away. It is mocking the girl for not being strong enough to fight the possession and claiming that she’s a “no-one” because she doesn’t even know her own name anymore. You cannot brute your way through a demon, so to proceed, you either need to find her real name or sacrifice yourself to the demon.
