How To Get Past The Turrets

Start byclimbing the ledges to the left. The island facility will quickly come into view. Use your binoculars along the path to spot Ashley, then keep going. Ahead, you’ll see that the path to the facility is blocked by a security laser. Ignore it for now andtake the right-hand tunnel.

Turn right at the fork to find some barrels and lore, then turn around and take the other path. Visit the Merchant in his alcove, thenfollow the side tunnelto reach the back of the security laser and disable it.

Go past the laser andcarefully move forwardtoward the building in front of you. Be sure not to stray too far to the left, or you’ll trigger another laser. One way or another, you’ll be spotted, triggering a fight.

The main threat during this battle is the mini-gunner. He’ll try to close in and corner you; use this as an opportunity to hit him with the shotgun. While his gun is revved up, you cancause it to explode by shooting it, but this will only damage the gunner, not kill him.

Inside the building is a ladder leading to the roof;this is the best place to make your stand, though you’ll need to quickly kill the crossbowmen on the other rooftops.

When things quiet down a bit, rotate the laserto give yourself a route across the path, through the windowof the next building over. Be sure to pick up the Red Herb just outside the window!

The door to the facility is overseen by a turret, sowalk along the cliff edgeon the left to reach the rear of the turret and disable it. Return to the first building andgo through the rear exitto get past the laser’s new position and reach the doors.

Inside, there are enemies around nearly every corner, so stay on your toes. Some can be eliminated quietly, but for the most part you’ll be fighting face-to-face.Follow the pathuntil you come to a ladder, and climb it. You’ll find yourself back outside.

When you come to a bridge, run across it without stopping. If you’re quick, you can get a stealth kill from the front on the Ganado coming from the other side before the game recognizes that he’s seen you!

Quietly take out the Ganado patrolling the ledge to the left; you can catch him from behind while he’s looking over the cliffs.Climb through the windowon the right to get the drop on the enemy inside, then proceed down the tunnel to the right to stealthily kill another.

Exploring the rest of the tunnels yields aYellow Herband aGolden Lynx, which is behind a wall of rubble that you can clear byshooting a red barrel.By the time you return, a trio of Ganados will have arrived in the building.

These enemies havebulletproof shields. The best way to deal with them is toshoot the lantern on the ceiling in the main room, setting the group on fire.

Leave the building and continue along the path. When the Ganado with the rocket launcher appears, take cover behind the stone wall to your left.Thin out the oncoming enemies from here before trying to cross the launcher’s kill-zone.

Take the caverns to the left to ascend to the rocket launcher’s ledge. Stay in the tunnel to remain safe from the rockets while eliminating the last of his support, then take out the launcher himself. He can take a lot of damage, sostunning him with a Flash Grenadethen following up with a knife finisher is a good way of dealing with him.

When the area is clear, loot any items dropped by the Ganados and go through the doors on the far end.

After the fight, take thegem dropped by the Bruteand climb the ladder ahead and to the right. Check both ends of the platform for items, thenopen the door in the corner.

In the back room of the lab, take the Biosensor Scope from the deskand attach it to your rifle. This will allow you tosee the Plaga parasites inside Regeneradors;destroying all the parasites will kill the monster. One of the Regeneradors in the tanks has the wrench that you need to open the overwrite terminal;use the Biosensor Scopeto see which one has the tool and kill it. The other Regeneradors have gems, including the ones you fled from upstairs; hunting them is a good way to get some extra cash!

If you’re having trouble with the Regeneradors in the upstairs hallway, there’s anexploit that you can useto easily defeat them. Open the keycard door and lure them through it. When you start going down the stairs, the Regeneradors will automaticallyturn to leave.Take the opportunity to shoot them in the back, and then start down the stairs again to prevent their counterattack!

Take the Green Herb and the Rifle Ammo on the side table in the lab, then use the wrench to open the overwrite panel and insert the keycard.

You don’t have to use the weapon that has the Biosensor Scope to kill the Regeneradors; once you know where the parasites are, you can shoot them out with any weapon you like.

While the keycard is processing, a group of Ganados will enter the lab. Several of them carry dynamite, so if you’re quick you candetonate themto quickly thin out the group. Wait by the terminal for the keycard to finish, thengrab it and escape through the gateto the right of the lab entrance. The corridor will take you back to the holding cell, where you may use your upgraded keycard torescue Ashley and end the chapter.
