How To Escape The Church
Your first challenge in Chapter Five is to escape the villagers searching the church for Leon and Ashley. Start by searching Ashley’s room; there’s acask hanging from the ceilingthat contains a gem.
Go to the window on the opposite side of the hall from where you found Ashley, andboost her upto reach the ladder above. Loot all the items in the attic, thenjump out the windownear the top of the stairs to escape.

Wait for Leon’s call to Hunnigan to finish before continuing. Once they’re done, move the overturned bookshelfblocking the way back to the churchyard. you’re able to hide in the side room and save at the typewriter before attempting toescape through the churchyard.
Start by having Ashley stay close; watch for thesingle Ganada in front of the churchto turn around, then sneak up on her and eliminate her. Immediately duck behind the rock to the left of the gate andwait for the pair villagers entering the church to pass.

Turn right immediately after passing through the gate to avoid the Ganados in the cemetery. This is the toughest fight to avoid - if you’re spotted, kill them quickly and runbefore the large group in the church arrives.
If you stay against the right-hand wall and time it perfectly, you can get out of the cemetery without being seen at all. There’s no avoiding the Ganado blocking the path back to the village square, though.

Return To The Village Square
When you reach the Town Hall, you can top up at the Merchant. He’s also posted a new request tokill a large infested dognear the Village Chief’s Manor.
The village square is now crawling with Ganados again. There’s one guarding the path to the left, your only escape route with the tower destroyed. Wait around the corner for him tolook toward the window, then run up and take him out with a melee kill. If you’re fast, he’llgo down before he can alert the others.

Climb through the window and open the door beyond. The next door leads outside, where you’re all but certain to be spotted. Start bytossing a grenade to the leftif you have one, immediately after going outside. It should catch the Brute around the fire, as well as an additional Ganado or two.Finish the Brutebefore turning your attention to the rest of the enemies.
Pick up the Sapphire dropped by the Brute, then go to the collapsing house next to the pyre where the villagers executed the policeman in Chapter One. you may boostAshley through the window, and she’ll open the door from the other side, letting you finally collect the Elegant Bangle from the chest within.

Side Quest - A Savage Mutt
It’s worth taking a detour to the Village Chief’s House, although this is entirely optional. Take Ashley to the top floor and boost her up the ladder in the master bedroom. This will let you explore the attic, where you can find some useful items andinformation about the village’s history.
As you leave, you’ll hear the monstrous dog the Merchant mentioned in his request. Returning to the village square will trigger a fight with the beast. It has an extremely large and powerful Plaga, so it will take a lot of ammo from any weapon you choose in order to defeat.
Remember to tell Ashley to stay back while fighting the monster!

How To Reach The Extraction Point
When you’re ready, head toward the Farm using the path you originally left the square by, after the first fight with the chainsaw man. You’ll have to goaround the back of the two-story house, either by skirting the edge of the village or climbing up to the roof. Either way, expect to meet resistance. The last Ganado before the gate will resurrect unless you perform a knife finisher on him, as willall three enemies on the Farm.
On the farm, wait before rounding the cornerfor the Ganado with the torch to turn around. You can kill him from behind, thenimmediately shoot his companion to the right. With both of them dead, look over the fence into the barnyardand take out the last enemy from afar with the rifle.
Shortly after you reach the Farm, a Brute and more Ganados will approach from the far side. The Brute doesn’t have a hammer this time around, but he’s still a formidable opponent. Try to eliminate his followers first so that you may focus on bringing him down.
The Merchant has set up shop in the windmill - you can get your reward for killing the infested dog, and sell the treasure from theWayshrine nearby.
How To Survive The Cabin Siege
When you cross the bridge past the windmill, Leon and Ashley will take refuge inside a building with Luis. What follows is a long horde battle. Ashley is safely hidden and Luis can take care of himself, so just focus on survival.
The top floor is the safest place as it serves as a bottleneck, but staying on the first floor with Luis allows him to supply you with ammo from time to time. At the beginning of the siege, rush through the house gathering all the supplies you can.Push the bookcase near the bottom of the stairs toblock a window, and board up the rest with the planks on the table and any others that the Ganados drop during the fight.
After three to five minutes, the Ganados will swarm the first floor, forcing you and Luis to retreat upstairs. Two minutes after that, a Brute will join the fray. Shortly after the Brute goes down, Ashley will find an escape route, ending the battle and the chapter.
