Even with a fully-upgraded arsenal and Krauser’s knife, there are still some brutal battles ahead. The Ganados are nearly non-stop, and of course you’ll be facing monsters as well - this is Resident Evil, after all! Use this guide to refine your strategy and reach the final battle!
How To Destroy The Anti-Aircraft Gun
When the chapter begins, reload if you haven’t alreadyfollowing the fight with Krauser. Smash the barrels in front of you to collect their contents, then start climbing the stairs on the left. Use your binoculars at the top to check the cult’s defenses and view their sanctuary, then proceed to the right.
The Merchant can upgrade Krauser’s Fighting Knife; it only takes a few investments to make itbetter than the maxed-out Combat Knife, and you candouble its damageif you still have an Exclusive Upgrade Ticket available.

Once you’re finished with the Merchant, walk down the path toward the fortress. Stay back and snipe any enemies you can - the Biosensor Scope makes it easy to find targets. As you approach, the gunship you’ve been waiting for finally arrives to provide supporting fire. Work together with Mike to defeat the Ganados blocking your way to the Sanctuary!
Start by entering the building to the left - there, you’ll be safe from the machine gun turret above. The helicopter will take care of any enemies that attempt to get through the window, freeing you to simplyshoot anyone that enters through the side door. When Mike blows open a path for you, collect any items dropped by enemiesand continue.

When Mike tells you to hang back, do so - the cultists havea turret and rocket launcherready to open fire as you round the corner. Wait until a short cutscene where their guard tower is destroyed before you move on. One of the dead soldiers will spawn a Plaga as you approach, but the gunship will come by for another pass, saving you ammo.
Climb the ladder at the end of the trail andtake a leftto get a good amount of supplies. Return to the fork and take theright-hand path. The anti-aircraft gun in the bunker ahead needs to be silenced, but there’s no way in from here. Take the stairs to the right of the bunker andturn right into the tunnelto avoid the machine gun fire coming from ahead.

There’s a single Ganado in the tunnel, butmore will come from behind.Get to the ladder at the far end and climb up, thenenter the bunker through the holes in the side wall.Unlatch the door, then take the stairs to the right. Fight your way up, being careful to avoid the rocket launcher fire from across the way.
When you reach the top, detonate the red barrel on the opposite buildingto clear most of the enemies firing at you. You may need to snipe some survivors - in this case, switch to a conventional scopeas one of the Ganados has a helmet that will prevent damage from headshots.
Once the roof is clear, man the machine gun turret on the leftand use it to destroy the anti-aircraft gun. More enemies will appear on the opposite building - the machine gun will make short work of them, as well. Finish them off, take the Rifle Ammo on the crate to the right of the gun, and jump down to the lower level as Mike clears out the area. Climb back down to the bunker andtake the path to the right, under where the machine gun was.

How To Get Through Specimen Storage
Mike will blast the gate open, but by this point he’ll be out of ammo. Fight the Ganados that emerge from the gate, thenrun inside and take an immediate left.Reload in the alcove before climbing the ladder, while you’re safe from turret fire. At the top of the ladder, run across the platform to the rightto stay ahead of gunfire andkill the gunner at the end.Take his gun and eliminate the other gunner and any remaining enemies.
Follow the platform to the rear wall andpull the switch there.More Ganados will appear - run back to the machine gun and use it until it’s out of ammo, thenjump down and cross to the other side.Climb the opposite platform and pull the switch there as well. When both switches are thrown, the door will open. Don’t bother fighting more enemies if you don’t have to - just get through the door!
At the end of the tunnel, a cutscene will trigger. Afterward, fight off the swarm of Novistadorsand take the path to the right. Smash the barrels both on the ground and on the scaffold above (there’s a ladder on your left), and check the Merchant Request at the end of the path. Enter the building and move slowly down the hallway until you see body bags hanging from the ceiling.Attach the Biosensor Scopeto your rifleand approach them - a Regenerador will drop from the center bag.
Stick to the right-hand wall while navigating body bags, both in the entryway and in the freezer. If you don’t disturb the Regeneradors, they won’t emerge - but if you even so much as touch their bags, you’ll have to fight.
When the Regenerador is dead, check the side room for a Treasure and a Clockwork Castellan before turning the wheel to open the path forward. The door will close behind you, somake sure you’ve done everything that you want tobefore entering. Use the Biosensor Scope to determine which body bags in the freezer contain Regeneradors - that way you won’t have any surprises!
The first Regenerador appears just before turning the corner, the second as you make your way through the back room. There’sno way to avoid either of them, so you’ll have to fight. The crate on the cot between the two enemies contains a Viper, which can be used to heal in an emergency.
When both monsters are dead, turn the wheelin the corner of the back room to open the rear exit (up the stairs behind the first Regenerador’s body bag), then run to it and leave. You’ll find a Merchant Hideout, complete with Shooting Gallery. When you’re ready, leave through the side doorto reach the Sanctuary Approach.
How To Reach The Sanctuary
The left-hand path is safer, as it takes you on a higher route with more cover. Inside the structure you can find several items, including aYellow Herb.Use the roof as a vantage point to clear the enemies across the way, thenjump downto the pathtoward the next defended position.
There are several Ganados inside the building ahead - if you have grenades to spare, throwing one through the windowshould cause enough chaos for you to enter. Remember toshoot the mine in the windowbefore attempting to climb through!
Collect everything you can from the first floor, then take the stairs. At the top, theleft-hand pathleads to a storage room with a Red Herb, and the right-hand path leads to the turret guarding the path forward. As you enter the turret room, aGunner Brutewill emerge from the door in front of you. Take him down, thendeactivate the turret.
Leave the building and climb the stairs to the Sanctuary. Approach the altar to trigger a cutscene. When it finishes, follow the hallwayto Luis’s lab. Gameplay will be interrupted several times, but justkeep moving forwarduntil you reach the door. Use Luis’s Key and bring Ashley to the chair in the center of the room to finish the chapter.
