Of the cast ofOctopath Traveler 2, Ochette has one of the toughest-sounding quests. Her task is to find three legendary beasts and have them return to her island, or else the Night of the Scarlet Moon threatens to wreak havoc across the entire world.

Of the three Creatures of Legend, Cateracta is the one that has the lowest recommended level attached to it on the world map screen, so it’s likely that you’ll try this route first. To start this route, you simply need to head to Conning Creek with Ochette in your party.
Town Phase: Conning Creek
After the initial cutscenes that have Ochette tasting some seafood, you’re tasked with finding the source of a mysterious sound.Head to the northern part of Conning Creekand follow the quest marker. It will lead you to the wharf attached to the beach, but you are blocked from progressing by a woman namedAlpione.
To get past Alpione, you’ll have toProvoke her with Ochette’s Path Ability. Other means of making her unconscious will not work. She’s not a tough opponent - using your companion,AkalaorMahina, will work just fine.Let them Break Alpione, and then unleash a fully-boosted attackto win handily.
With Alpione defeated,sail to the island in the distance. When you get to the entrance of the cave and the massive creature skeleton, you’ll witness a cutscene. Once that’s over, enter the cave.
Dungeon Phase: Cavern Of The Sea God
This is a pretty short dungeon, but it loops around a lot. From the entrance, take the short detour to the right to grab anEmpowering Lycee (M)and then continue on. At the fork in the road, take theright path, which will lead to a chest containing theRabbit Shield.
This shield is pretty neat as itboosts your Speed by 15 points, making it great for characters who benefit more from going first in a round, like Throné or Temenos.
Take theleft pathnow, and then circle around the pillar after the rope bridge to get aHealing Grape Bunch. Descend the stairs to the south and then head left to find a red chest containing6,000 leaves. Head all the way to the right tomeet up with Alpione again.
After the scene,walk north toward the eggfor another sequence. After these scenes, the chapter is over.
Completing this chapter will let Ochettesummon Acta in battle. Acta will provide abuffto a random ally when called.
