InDungeons & Dragons, it can seem like there are magical items around every corner. Some might be mundane, like a Bag of Holding, a fancy bag that is bigger on the inside than it is on the outside, while others are more cataclysmic items like an Orb Of Dragonkind that can cause all nearby evil-aligned dragons to flock to the Orb.

The Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves film showcased several magical items in their wondrous glory. Some of these items are extremely rare and required a skilled magician to use, while others are items that any person can pick up and use with ease.

This article will contain multiple spoilers for the D&D: Honor Among Thieves Movie.

Honor Among Thieves Party and Sending Stones

9Red Wizard Blade

This legendary dagger has been crafted by Red Wizards through methods that are secret only to their order, pulling power from the Negative Plane to inflict misery on their target. It deals a devastating 3d12 necrotic damage to its target when it hits a creature, but that’s not the worst part of this dagger.

When the Red Wizard Blade causes a creature to reach zero hit points, that creature dies and cannot be raised except by a deity or through the power of a Tablet of Reawakening. The Red Wizard Blade can also be thrown, making it an extremely deadly weapon at any range.

8Sending Stones

Waiting for a messenger to travel from city to city can be tedious and time-consuming, which is why a few Sending Stones can make communicating with a distant ally a breeze. These stones let anyone cast the Sending spell so long as they’re in possession of one of the stones, with the holder of the partner stone as the target. Your message is restricted to 25 words, hopefully enough to tell your partner an important piece of information.

The Sending Stones in Honor Among Thieves function a little differently than the game version of the stones. In the film, they act more like a phone, letting the users speak through them freely, which is a vast improvement over being limited to 25 words.

7Hither-Thither Staff

A walking stick to some or an amazing tool of transportation to others, the Hither-Thither Staff is a very cool legendary item created for the film. By pointing the staff at two targets, you’re able to open a two-way portal between the two points. There is a limit on how far away you can be to create a portal, but once established, the portals seem to be able to stretch across vast distances.

Honor Among Thieves Horn of Beckoning Death

If you’re looking to incorporate this Staff into your game, there are a few restrictions to this legendary item. The Hither-Thither Staff has four charges, one of which can be used to create two linked portals. The portals can be opened on a moving surface but will disappear if they are separated by more than one mile. You can use these portals to sneak into heavily guarded buildings or across treacherous chasms.

6Pendant Of Invisibility

Much like a Ring of Invisibility, the heroes of Honor Among Thieves discover a Pendant of Invisibility while on one of their ventures. In the film this pendant is worn by Kira, Edgin’s daughter. The Pendant of Invisibilityseems to be exactly a Ring of Invisibility, just in a different fashion accessory.

In the game, turning invisible takes up an action and turns anything you’re wearing and carrying invisible with you until you choose to remove the ring. Attacking or casting a spell will also break your invisibility, making it a great item to sneakily position yourself to give you the advantage on an attack or to hide and wait until the danger has passed.

5Horn Of Beckoning Death

A terrifying item of pure destruction, the Horn of Beckoning Death appears to resemble a small dragon’s horn but instead summons a devastating necromantic power called the Beckoning Death. When used, this legendary Horn spews forth a blood-red cloud that converts anything it touches into a mindless, zombie-like creature.

This horn was created by the lich Szass Tam of Thay and used to convert much of the population into undead monstrosities. There is a chance to survive the Horn’s terrifying power, as proven by Xenk Yendar, paladin and legendary hero of the Savage Frontier. Xenk Yendar was still afflicted by the Horn’s power, slowing down his aging and disfiguring his head with magical runes.

4Deathly Token

In search of the magic disrupting Helm of Disjunction, the heroes of Honor Among Thieves need to speak with the helm’s last possessor, which is made much more difficult since they were murdered in battle years before the events of the film.

Luckily, the nervous sorcerer Simon Aumar has the solution; all they have to do is speak with the dead. His Deathly Token is a small coin-shaped item that allows Simon to cast speak with dead despite not being a cleric. After plenty of digging and some back and forth with some skeletons, Simon and the heroes find the right skeleton and the Helm’s location.

3Helm Of Disjunction

Speaking of the Helm of Disjunction, this immensely powerful headpiece was created by thelegendary wizard Mordenkainenyears before the film takes place. Using the Helm requires attunement, a feat that is easier said than done.

Once attuned, the Helm grants the user a wide range of abilities. When activated, the Helm produces an antimagic wave that washes over everything within a 300-foot radius. Any spells affected by the wave are immediately disrupted, and all potions and scrolls are destroyed as soon as the wave hits them.

Honor Among Thieves Tablet of Reawakening

2Bag Of Holding

The classic Bag of Holding may be an uncommon item in Dungeons & Dragons but is often an essential part of every campaign. This ubiquitous bag is much bigger on the inside, letting you hold tons of items without being burdened by too much loot.

In the film, Simon has a Bag of Holding, which he uses to hold every item Edgin hands him as a little running gag throughout Honor Among Thieves. Good thing Simon kept his bag safe since breaking a Bag of Holding results in everything inside it spilling into the Astral Plane.

1Tablet Of Reawakening

The mysterious and immensely powerful Tablet of Reawakening is a small stone tablet covered in mystical writing carved across its surface. This Tablet lets you cast true resurrection, a spell that can bring back any creature so long as they haven’t been dead for more than 200 years.

The Tablet of Reawakening is rumored to be one of the few items that can counter the power of the Red Wizards, capable of resurrecting those who have been stabbed by a Red Wizard Blade. If you want to use the Tablet of Reawakening, make sure it is for a good cause, as the Tablet is a one-time use, turning to dust after the spell is completed.
