Cheshire Breaking Brambles In Front Of Hidden Chest In Jade Hill

Tir Na Nog

x1 (Prison of Thorns)

As you leave the Tir Na Nog, you’ll notice a few changes in Jade Hill. Going south and then left will send you into battle against a pair of fairies and end in a dead end of frozen brambles that cannot be broken just yet.

Cereza On Yellow Mushrooms Picking Up Another Journal Piece

Instead, travel ahead across the vines and stop for a moment to take the sidepath due southeast. You’ll find your first Journal resting on the edge of the chasm. There is a set of frozen brambles to the east from here, but - like the first set - there is nothing to do here at this point.

From here, return to the main pathand follow the glowing footprints into a large grove area. you’re able to find a Remembrance spot on the ledge here for a nice view, but otherwise, continue on the path until you reacha brown ledge you can climb on.

Cereza Using Hidden Path Right Of Jade Hill Sanctuary

Use Cheshire tobreak the brambles to your leftand discover ahidden chestwith the Umbran Syrup potion.

Again returning to the path, follow it down to the Sanctuary. If you interact with the Arcane Lantern here, you will find that you’ll have the added option now to retry a Tir Na Nog or try it as a Time Challenge.

Cereza Activating Prison Of Thorns Tir Na Nog In Jade Hill

On the yellow mushrooms to the left of this Sanctuaryis the second collectible Journal.

Continue climbingthe yellow mushrooms on the left side to finda vine you can travel across. A chest filled with resources can be found on the other side. After collecting it, return to the ground by jumping off the edge.

Cereza Using Thorn Bind In Prison of Thorns Challenge

Now,go down the path to the right of the Sanctuaryto find a hidden grove with a locked treasure chest.

To unlock this Treasure Chest, you’ll need to:

After opening this chest for resources and a Demonic Mist potion, you can:

Tir Na Nog - Prison Of Thorns (Optional)

This Tir Na Nog is very straightforward, with no puzzles to solve. You need only defeat the enemies in the arena ahead.

However, there is a caveat to your combat. To proceed, you’ll need todefeat each of the enemies while thorns bind them. You cannot damage them while they are not bound.

Cereza In Front Of Jade Hill Chest Discovering The Leafy Nook

The best strategy here is to use Hug Mode to its fullest advantage. Calling Cheshire back and holding him can help Cereza gain her magic back faster, and picking up the butterflies on the edges of the arena can also replenish her magic gauge.

Once you are finished with these enemies, you can claim your prize and leave.

Cheshire Preparing To Destroy Two Flower Traps

x1 (Umbran Syrup)

x1 (Calamity)

Cereza And Cheshire Watching Two Devious Trappers Spawn In Arena

As you enter the nook, quickly detour to your lefton the mushrooms to reach a higher ledge. A faerie will attack you here, but you may make quick work of it to reach some flowers for resources. After jumping down, beware of the trap-like flowerthat can close on Cereza. If you’re trapped within it, you’ll need to have Cheshire or Cereza free the trapped teammate.

Afterward, you cancontinue forward past a set of bramblesinto an area with two flower traps. Use Cheshire to attack and destroy them before gathering their resources and then continuing past a second wall of brambles.

Cereza Taking Detour Down Hidden Fallen Log Path To The Right

Devious Trappers(a type of faerie that lays traps) will spawn in this area, and Cheshire will need todefeat them without stepping into the trapsthemselves. Afterward, there are a few nooks and crannies around this central place to explore.

Tir Na Nog - Calamity

Climbing the staircase, open the main door with your Witch’s Pulse. Past this door will be a combat test against several faeries, including Devious Trappers.Defeat them all, dodging the traps and the beams and countering where possible.

Once they are defeated, you’re able to continue forward to claim another Vitality Petal from the chest nearby and return to the Leafy Nook.

Leaf Nook - Continued

When you return, you can nowbacktrack on the patha bit to return to a set ofbrambles on the left sideof the path where you can grow some flowers for Onyx Roses.

Afterward, continue forward with the pawprints, but instead of continuing where the Tir Na Nog barrier was settled, take a quick detour right through a fallen tree logto open a chest with an Umbran Syrup potion.

Go back and nowprogress past the Tir Na Nog locationacross a mossy log bridge to a grove with an Arcane Lantern, a Sanctuary, and a Skills Mirror that will allow you to now purchase and learn new skills for both Cereza and Cheshire provided you have the resources to do so.

After taking some time to learn a few skills,go behind the stone and climb the staircasethat twists around the backside of the Sanctuary. Here, you’ll find a chest with resources. Afterward, return to the grove and go down the right pathto find another piece of Journal. Collect it andcontinue with the wolf’s pawprintsto find an area with several platforms you can jump between.

A faerie will try attacking you from the northernmost platform. You can attempt to jump over with the green flower and strike in melee combat or use Cheshire’s Counter to deflect its attacks. A breakable flower lies just behind it.

Another breakable flower can be found on the right platform, which you must jump to using the green flower tojump over to the upper-west side of this area. You can take a moment to grow the flowers for Onyx Roses nearby, and a treasure chest can be found directly behind it on a narrow path.

Proceed with the pawprintsdue northward. You’ll find several laser beams that have timed blasts here. If you’ve invested in the special Hug Mode dash at the last Sanctuary, you can dash through both of them after they’ve fired.

However, if you haven’t invested in the dash, you must approach one at a time. The first is on the ground and requires you only to run through once it’s blasted. The second requires some jumps over small gaps.

While this isn’t hard to navigate, it does slow you down a bit and will require you to time it a little more carefully. From here, keep going forwarduntil you reach the next new area.

x1 (Demonic Mist)

x1 (Limitations)

After entering this new area, you may go across the flower bridge, but if you’d like to face another Tir Na Nog and gather materials, you’ll want toignore the flower bridgeyou can conjure on the right for now andcontinue north through the brambles.

Going past the view of the map to come, round the corner(ignore the bush on the corner; it spawns a faerie that will attack you in return for crafting material rewards),ignore the vine bridge, anddescend the mushroom stairsinto a new grove where you’re able to find an illusion and a hidden Tir Na Nog.

Tir Na Nog - Limitations (Optional)

This Tir Na Nog, like the last, is very straightforward. It’s a timed battle, and you’ll need onlydefeat the enemies in this area within the time limitin order to win.

Your priority should be the carnivorous planton the far side of the arena, as its attacks can effectively zone you and cause a long list of problems. Use Cereza’s Thorn Bind and defeat it with Cheshire before taking care of the enemy faeries.

Killing them quickly will end the battle, give you access to the chest with another Vitality Petal, and allow you to destroy the dungeon’s heart. Afterward, you will return to the Lake.

Lake Nimueh - Continued

After returning to Lake Nimueh, return to the rope bridge around the cornerfrom earlier. Cross it, stopping on the left path toopen the treasure chest.

It is a trap, bringing you into an ambush of Devious Trappers, but they are easy to dispatch. Once they are gone, collect your resources as a reward and then jump back onto the path and head north.

Skip the rising and falling platforms for just a moment in favor of heading even further north, destroying the traps, and claiming the Onyx Rose flower at the dead end. Only once the nearby resources on the ground are collected should you return to the rising and falling platforms andjump on.

Jump off the first platform onto the second once it’s high enough to do so, and then jump onto the wooden platform. Crossing this wooden platform, dispatch the faerie on the far side and ignore the turning mechanism with the purple flame (there’s nothing you’re able to do with it right now).Head north until you reach a golden bulb.

Attacking with Cheshire will lead to a small puzzle to open the chest behind it:

If you do not use Thorn Bind before Cheshire attacks, the bulbs will float in the air and out of his range.

The chest contains a large number of resources, and it also contains one Demonic Mist potion.

Nowreturn to the start of the Lake Nimueh area, wherea bridge can be conjuredacross a gap. Do so and turn left to spy the wolf surrounded by faeries.

You’ll need to defeat all three of them to progress. Thankfully, there are no particular handicaps this time, and they aren’t difficult enemies, so you should be able to deal with them quickly. Your only reward will be the resources you collect from their initial defeat.

Continue westto find a flower you can grow, allowing you to float up onto the log above. After jumping off it, you’ll find an area with two large opening and closing flowers. Summon Cheshire and break the barriers while being aware of the timing of these large flowers.

A good strategy here is to send Cheshire forward against the flowers while they’re closed and then run across them as soon as they open.

If Cheshire cuts things a little too close, you can panic-button him into Hug Mode to call him back without worrying about him becoming trapped.Once the barrier is broken, you can run across(or dash with Hug Mode), permitting the timing of the flower allows.

On the other side of this brief puzzle,a faerie is waiting in ambush on the other side. With Cheshire in the front, either deflect its attacks with Counter or run forward to attack it with Slash.

Crossing this small bridge will then bring you to the next new area.

x1 (Rotation)

Vitality Blossom

Following the path forward, you’ll encounter your first Spriggan in a faerie ambush. They carry large shields but, thankfully, don’t do much else.Use your Thorn Bind to hold them still while Cheshire attacks them from behind.Defeat two Spriggans and another faerie to claim victory.

With the faeries out of the way, progress northwardto enter an illusion field. Follow the path around until you reach a treasure chest. You can’t open it right now, so ignore it andcontinue west to reach a ledge.

From here, you candispel the illusionin front of you so a green flower will appear, allowing you tojump across and access the Tir Na Nogon the other side.

Tir Na Nog - Rotation

This trial will introduce Pixies, a sharp-shooting long-range faerie that can fly. They are a bit bothersome to deal with as Countering isn’t very effective here. You’ll need towait until they landafter a few shots, allowing Cereza tobind them to the ground and have Cheshire defeat them.

After the first two are defeated, a second wave will appear with two standard fae and a third Pixie. Defeat them all to claim victory and continue on.

In this part of the Tir Na Nag, we’re presented with a puzzle.Send Cheshire into the wheel contraptionand have himmove leftto lower the platform. Cereza can then climb on top of it.

Move Cheshire rightto raise the platform and move it to the end, where Cereza can move a box.Push the box to the nearby ledgeso she can use it as a stool to get up.

Move Cheshire out of the first wheel and into the second, with Cereza on the platform above it. Move left to bring her to the chest of resources above her and then right to continue. From here, you’re presented with a slightly trickytimed movement puzzle. Turrets will fire across your path in timed bursts. You’ll need to pass through their narrow window to progress.

Once both have reached the top, Cereza can nowuse Cheshire’s contraption to cross the gap and continue forward. Cheshire will need to first, however, destroy the glass wall in his way with a Slash. This will allow him access to enter the next wheel.

Instead of going upward, take a short detour downward to find another chest of valuable items. Only then should you continue upward.

Here, you’ll find a continuous laser turret that raises and lowers itself. As long as you don’t rise from the horizontal section below it, you cannot be hit by this laser and can take some time to study its movement pattern and speed.

Wait until it reaches the near bottom and then slowly rise with it. Its laser will eventually be blocked by a wall in your way, and you can progress into the next section.

Several flying enemies will fire turrets across your path here. This puzzle has three tiers, each going up a level, and each tier features two flying enemies.

The first set is not moving, and you can easily take your timeusing Thorn Bind to defeat them. The next two continuously move left and right, so you’ll need to take extra care to stay out of their path and have enough time to use your Thorn Bind before being knocked off.

If you’re knocked off, don’t worry too much. There’s a mid-point save before the second level of enemies that you can start from, and enemies that were previously defeated will not respawn.

Once you’re past all the flying enemies, you’ll once again find yourself face-to-face with a pair of continuous laser turrets that both rise and fall. Timing them both, you’ll need toquickly rise between the wallsthat will act as a barrier between you and the lasers.

Thankfully, this is the last section, so getting past them will bring you to the final area with a Vitality Petal and the Tir Na Nog crystal. Collect your prize and destroy the crystal to return to Sunspeckled Grove.

Sunspeckled Grove - The Return

Having made your way back to the grove, travel backward toward the chest from earlierquickly to open it for three whole potions. Then you maycontinue past the Tir Na Nog siteand gain an additional Journal entry. Going forward, you’ll find a Sanctuary save point with the chance to learn some skills.

If you’d like the resources, you can also take a moment to venture South from the Tir Na Nog’s location to use Cheshire and jump across a large gap to reach another treasure chest.

There is also a second chest of resources behind and to the left of the Skills Mirror in the Sanctuary.

Beyond this point, the White Wolf will appear and lead you forward.Chase after ituntil you come across an open grove where you’ll haveyour first Boss Encounter: Fomhorach.

This boss is a shielded enemy, so you’ll need to contribute what you’ve learned from the Spriggan enemies from earlier to get the upper hand. Thankfully, his attacks are limited, and his minions pose more of a threat than he does.

If anything, he might prove a mild annoyance in getting rid of his minions as his shield can sometimes cover them.Defeat him and his many alliesto progress into a lengthy cutscene.

Elemental Core

x1 (Wood)

Having gained the ability now to use the Earth Elemental Core and use its abilities with Cheshire, you’ll need to use these new skills to leave the area. But first, absorb the vitalityof the flowers within this room.

Travel southwardto get no small amount of resources and find a locked chest. For this chest puzzle, you’ll need to:

The chest will then be unlocked and grant three potions, but it also is a distraction from the flower you can open with Cheshire’s Wood abilities behind it.Open the flower to create a pad you can jump on and cross the water with. Here, you’ll find another Journal entry and a chest filled with 100 of each resource.

Return to the main roomwhere you watched the cutscene to obtain the Elemental Core.Open the door on the leftwith Cheshire’s Grab, and thenabsorb the vitality of the flowers in your path.

A second flower along your path and facing the wall is hiding a chest. Absorb this flower to both increase your magic threshold and gain access to this chest for some extra resources.

Use Cheshire’s tongue tograb a flower on the far side of the gapat the end of your path, creating a bridge you can now cross. Afterward, throw Cheshire onto the ledgein front of you beforemoving him around to pull the next flowerand allow Cereza across to rejoin him.

Have Cheshiredestroy the wall-door north from hereto reveal another treasure chest of Onyx Roses.

Returning to this area andheading eastwill successfully move Cereza and Cheshire into the fourth chapter.
