Luckily for you, there are ways to hard-focus on earning SP, and decent amounts of it, enabling you to Synthesize extremely powerful Gear and Items that will give you an upper hand in combat. While it may seem like there aren’t many ways to obtain SP, there are many avenues for you to rake it in and improve your Alchemy.
Quests
While it may seem obvious,Questsare the best source ofSPin Atelier Ryza 3: Alchemist of the End & the Secret Key, especially in the early portions of your adventure. However, it’s not the Main Questline that will net you the most SP. Instead, your focus will be ontwo specific typesof Quests:RandomandNormal.
Random Quests
Random Questsare theGreen Exclamation MarkIconsthat willsporadically pop up as you exploreeach region in the game. As their name suggests, these Quests pop up Randomly and willhave various goals and rewards. Some Random Quests will have you eliminate a specific group of enemies, while some will have you simply collect materials in the area. There will also be Random Quests where you’re able to trade or give NPCs Items or materials, which can grant you a pretty hefty sum of SP.
However, not all Random Quests will reward you with SP,as some will give youCole (currency), materials, or Items. Fortunately, you cancheck the reward for a Random Quest before tackling it,allowing you to focus only on the ones that will reward you with SP. While the payout may not always be high, you can end up gettingwell over 200 SPfor completing some Random Quests, and they pop up all the time, making them relatively easy to finish.

Normal Quests
Normal Questsserve as the game’sside quests, which can definitely be confusing. Unlike the Random Quests, these arefound in specific places across all regionsand typically pop up in Towns or near Landmarks. Normal Quests are marked on the map with anOrange Exclamation Mark, allowing you to single them out and complete them.
Many of the Normal Questsinvolve you fighting off groups of monsters or delivering specific resources to NPCs.At the same time, some will have youfollow a colorful birdto a particular spot orfight a Mini-Boss.The good news is thatthe SP payout of Normal Quests is always excellent, making it the best way to earn large sums of SP. But, as already covered, the only downside is these are proper side quests and will not be available again after you complete them.

Alchemy
Alchemyis, of course, a large part of the game and is one of the best methods you can utilize to obtain significant amounts ofSP.The only downside to relying on Alchemy for SP is that it can be frustrating in the early goings due to alack of resources, Recipes, and theinability to produce high-quality Items and Gearconsistently. Nonetheless, this will still be an excellent way for you to accrue SP.
New Items
There are several ways you canlearn new Recipes and Synthesize new Itemsin Atelier Ryza 3: Alchemist of the End & the Secret Key. The first method is bysimply unlocking the Recipe via the Skill Treewith theSPyou’ve been accumulating, with the second is toSynthesize it from another Itemyou can currently craft.
Synthesizing a new Item from an already existing oneis relatively straightforward but will require much more materials and, in some cases, help from Ryza’s new Secret Keys. To easilytell if an Item has a routeto create a new Recipe, look for a smallPlus Sign(+)next to its listingwhen you’re at the Synthesis Menu in your Atelier.

If you see this logo, and it’sred, youcurrently do not possess the materials neededto build into the new Recipe. But, if the logo iswhite, youcan make the new Recipe, provided you have enough of the required materials on hand.
Creating new Items is crucialbecause you willreceive additional SP the first time you Synthesize it,making it essential todevelop everything you possibly can at least once. Not only will this give you access to tons of different Items, but it will also encourage you to use them and experiment with them.

High-Quality Items
Lastly,Synthesizing high-quality Items and Gearwill grant you a decent amount ofSP,pretty much begging you toconsistently replace your current equipment with a newer and better version. This applies to yourArmor, Weapons, Survival Tools, Core Items, and Accessories.Everything you can make in your Atelier should be refined and made better when you access better materials.
If you arestill using the same Gathering Tools from when you first beganyour journey, you need tocreate new ones as soon as possible,as havinghigh-quality Gathering Toolswill allow you toharvest better quality resources and materials, which - in turn - will make whatever you Synthesize with them better overall.

Furthermore, you’re able to alsoput your old equipment to usebyturning them into Gemsfor ItemDuplicationorfolding them into your new Gearwith theReinforcementfeature found in your Atelier. In general, the cycle will typically look like this:
Once you get the hang of the game’s flow and Alchemy, you will constantly create new - and better - equipment for Ryza and her friends and have the old stuff make your life easier. It will take some time to reach this point, but it will be worth the investment. Thisconstant and consistent cycle will give you lots of SPduring your journey.
