5DeltaRay - Mega Man Battle Network 3-6
An argument could be made for DeltaRay being the absolute best chip in the series purely because of how cool it is to use. This special attack comes courtesy of ProtoMan, and the damaging slashes that he unleashes dominate your foes.
It really is quite simple thanks to it being a navi-based chip, so you don’t even need to aim. ProtoMan simply drops in and slashes the opponent three times from varying angles, though in most instances those angles really won’t matter much. It’s just one of those chips everyone wanted as a kid because of how cool ProtoMan is.
4Duo - Mega Man Battle Network 4: Blue Moon/Red Sun
This is an incredibly simplistic chip, but it is one that absolutely works wonders. The chip essentially rains down fists that deal 200 damage onto your foe’s field at seemingly random. Those fists have the potential to crack panels as well.
This means that the chip can dish out massive damage while also setting up your opponent’s field to limit their movement. Of course, that’s even if the enemies manage to survive the initial barrage of brutal metallic fists that will be coming their way.

2ChaosLrd - Mega Man Battle Network 5: Team Colonel/Team Protoman
The ChaosLrd chip is another one that you can get right from the start of Mega Man Battle Network 5, meaning you can turn much of the game into a simple jog. It is a giga chip, which can limit your options depending on when you have access to it, but the chip is pretty much always useful to fall back on anyway.
The simple 500-damage chip will have no issue absolutely tearing through the health of most standard enemies you come across. Realistically, the attack won’t have a problem one-shotting many of the bosses in the game, especially in the early game.
1BassGS - Mega Man Battle Network 3: Blue Version/White Version
One of the best chips also happens to be found in arguably the best game in the series,one that features a shady organization. Thanks to the Legacy Collection, you can experience the power of the secret BassGS chip. This incredible attack deals a massive 700 damage and demolishes the enemy field.
It’s basically an instant-win chip against a majority of the game’s enemies as long as you hit them with the attack. Having access to the chip right from the start of the game might trivialize things a bit, but feeling like a net god might not be a bad thing either.
