Ubisoft has been awfully quiet about Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora. We can assume that you don’t play as Jake Sully, rather a random Na’vi located on a part of Pandora that hasn’t been shown in either of the two movies. However, this is only based on the title of the game. As with almost any anticipated game over the last few years, information about Frontiers of Pandora has leaked in the form of screenshots, and gameplay may be coming soon.

The screenshots have been shared byScriptLeaksR6on Twitter. Besides the screenshots looking legit themselves, this is also the same person thatleaked the Assassin’s Creed Mirage artwork, along with the pre-order bonuses for Frontiers of Pandora. Now, they have leaked two screenshots from the game. The first oneis an FPS perspective shot of the player, a Na’vi, holding a gun – probably taken from a human soldier – facing up against one of the big AMP suits. In the background, you can see soldiers scattering from an explosion at some sort of base.

The second screenshotlooks to be from a cutscene, showing either the player character or an NPC riding one of the banshees and swooping down upon a body of water amidst a lush forest. Native fauna can also be seen running away from the banshee. The gear worn by the Na’vi as well as the banshee could possibly be customisable, as it appears to be way more intricate than we’ve seen in the movies.

To top this off, the leaker has also said that they will be posting gameplay footage soon. The devs haven’t revealed the basic structure of the game, but knowing Ubisoft, it’ll probably be an open world. One of the comments on the Tweets says it gives off Far Cry vibes, and even though it’s just two images, it does kind of feel like that.

The last time we had anything concrete on the game was whenJames Cameron said that he’d be taking a hands-off approachto it. “I don’t tell them what to do — they know their world, their business, their market," he said in an interview. “We just keep a close eye that they don’t do anything that’s not canonical in terms of Na’vi culture and what the RDA is doing on Pandora and all that sort of thing.”
