This guide will cover how to complete all ten challenges this week along with the rewards you can expect.

Reward
Root of Nightmares is Lightfall’s newest raid, a six-player endgame activity that requires you to complete puzzles while defeating tough bosses. Out of all raids in Destiny 2, Root of Nightmares is quite easy and is fairly light on mechanics. If you’ve never raided before, this is a great raid to try.Give ourRoot of Nightmares raid guidea lookif you want a breakdown of how each encounter works.
EDZ Activities
EDZ Activities:In the EDZ, earn bonus progress by completing bounties, patrols, public events, and Lost Sectors.
Completing any open world content on the EDZ will grant progress for this challenge. We recommendfarming bounties and Lost Sectors in Trostlandto get this done quickly. Visit Devrim to pick up his daily bounties, then visit your favorite Lost Sector to finish the bounty objectives. Paired with a few Lost Sector clears, this challenge should only take you half an hour to finish.

Commendation Appreciation
Commendation Appreciation:Earn progress for giving commendations in Vanguard, Crucible, and Gambit activities.
This challenge requires you togive ten commendations at the end of Vanguard Ops, PvP matches, or Gambit matches. At the end of these activities, you’ll get to see a post-game carnage report that allows you to commend your fellow teammates.you may commend two Guardians per game, so this challenge will require at least five match completions.

Iron Sharpens Iron
Iron Sharpens Iron:Complete Iron Banner matches. Earn bonus progress for wins.
Iron Banner isnotactive during the third week of Season of Defiance. This activity will only be active for the weeks of March 21 and April 4.

Iron Sharpens Iron requires you tocomplete 15 Iron Banner games, wins granting double progress. We highly recommend that you focus on getting your Iron Banner rank increased over wins, as you’ll likely complete this Seasonal Challenge by the time you unlock most of the Iron Banner rewards you’re interested in.Iron Banner is inactive as of week three, so you’ll need to wait until next week to finish this challenge.
Primeval Entourage
Primeval Entourage:Defeat Taken in Gambit. Earn bonus progress for defeating tougher combatants.
Primeval Entourage requires100 Taken kills in Gambitto complete. The Taken are present in every Gambit match in the form of Blockers, Primevals, and adds during the Primeval phase. Tougher foes are worth far more progress, notably Primeval Envoys and the Primeval itself. We recommend you focus on killing Blockers and the Primeval every gameto get this done quickly.

Ultimate Champion
Ultimate Champion:Defeat Champions in any Nightfall strike on Hero difficulty or higher. Earn bonus progress at higher difficulty tiers.
In the Nightfall playlist, defeat 60 Champions on Hero difficulty or higher.Higher difficulties grant far more progress but are significantly harder, especially the jump from Hero to Legend. We recommend either farming Hero-tier Nightfalls or waiting for Grandmaster Nightfalls to release later this season.GM Nightfalls are -25 compared to Master’s -20 and Legend’s -15 Power deltas. GMs are only marginally harder than Master but have far better rewards. They should become available on April 11.

Mid-Range Calibration
Mid-Range Calibration:Calibrate mid-range weapons—Hand Cannons, Auto Rifles, Glaives, Fusion Rifles, and Machine Guns—in the EDZ. Bonus progress for rapidly defeating combatants.
This Seasonal Challenge requires you todefeat 200 enemies on the EDZ with Hand Cannons, Auto Rifles, Glaives, Fusion Rifles, or Machine Guns.We recommend completing this challenge alongside the “EDZ Activities” Seasonal Challenge. Grab some bounties, equip a Glaiveor Machine Gun, and farm your favorite EDZ Lost Sector. We find Terminus East to be the best EDZ Lost Sector for quickly farming kills.
