The characters featured in the game went under a bit of a redesign to fit the style of the game. Featured below are just a few of the characters available to play, and what differences there are between how we know them, and their new look.
13Figment
For those who have never visited Walt Disney World before, Figment may not be familiar. The only featured Disney character not from a movie, Figment is a mascot from Epcot and is seen at the “Imagination!” pavilion. Figments' inclusion in this game may lead him to be included inother Disney games, too.
Figment looks pretty similar in the game to his in-park images, though there is no golden Figment skin available to match his statue in the park, he still has his signature smile.

12Hercules
Hercules may have lost his cape, but he’s kept his signature quiff and strong chin. Just like he does in the movie, Hercules relies on Pegasus in the game to help come in and give him a special boost.
Hercules is a Brawler character, and these characters are best for going after your opponents on the racetrack. They even get a speed boost when doing so. Hercules in the game is just as strong as he is in his movie, and uses that to his advantage.

11Megara
Megara has kept a lot of her defining characteristics from the movie. Especially the distinct shape of her hair, down to the color and curl, Megara maintained her look.
Her racing suit shares the same shade of purple as her toga - though, in the game, she is referred to as just “Meg.”

10Mowgli
When leaving the jungle and hitting the racetrack, Mowgli was able to keep his signature haircut. Mowgli is classified as a Speedster character, meaning he’s quicker than others. He can even call upon some wolves from back home to give him an advantage on the track.
While his outfit is very different in the game compared to in the movie, his personality has stayed the same: he’s fun-loving and easy-going on the track.

9Jack Sparrow
One of the few live-action Disney characters put in the game, Jack Sparrow is in the Trickster class of racers, meaning he can pull some deception on the track. While his bandana color has changed, he’s kept his signature hairstyle and face tattoo.
His racing outfit mirrors his movie outfit in the color palette, and in the inclusion of the V-neckline. He’s traded in The Black Pearl for a race car, but he can captain it just as well.

8Mike Wazowski
Mike Wazowski hasn’t changed much about his look when coming into the game, even keeping his go-to scaring pose.
Down to the shape of his teeth and the color of his eyes, Mike’s look is consistent. The only real difference here is the choice to wear some clothes for the racetrack, but hey, that may just be event-procedure. He’s joined by his best friend Sully, and girlfriend Celia.

7Randall
Mike, Sully, and Celia aren’t the only Monsters Inc characters featured in the game. Randall Boggs is also a featured character, and his many limbs, scaly skin, and sly smile transferred over to his game character.

He is with Jack Sparrow in the Trickster class, and he can use his invisibility power from the movie to get a few legs up on his opponents.
6Belle
Belle has traded in her ballgown for a motocross suit, and she’s ready to race. Belle still wears her hair in a similar tied-back style with a yellow bow, and has also kept her favorite shade of yellow from her classic dress to use in her racing outfit.
In the game, she’s able to call upon her furniture friends from the Beast’s castle to help stun opponents, and the Beast is a featured character, too.

5Mulan
Mulan was alreadya tough girl to beatin her movie, and she’s taking her skills to Disney Speedstorm. Just like she does in her film, Mulan can cleverly use explosives to beat her opponents.
Her bob haircut has stayed the same, even including the single-strand-bang from the movie. The colors of her outfit don’t seem to reflect her movie character, but the red may be a nod to her dragon friend, Mushu.

4Li Shang
Li Shang’s look from the movie is well reflected in his in-game character. His hairstyle and face shape are the same, and the red from his cape is matched by the red of his racing suit collar.
There is even a little dragon on his sleeve who looks a bit like Mushu, which is a nice extension of a reference to have on the design.
