While everyone loves theResident Evilseries, there is a singular location that is beloved above them all despite it not really being all that important to many of the games in the series. That location isResident Evil’s Raccoon City. The often zombie-infested city is one of the best locations in horror history.

It’s the kind of little city that makes you go “Oh, crap that could totally happen to me, couldn’t it?” Who wants to put ourselves in horrific situations, though? I already know I’d be zombie-chowder. Instead, let’s wonder what might happen ifsome of our favorite Nintendo characterswere trapped with the undead hordes.
10Yoshi - Hide From Mario
We already know that ifYoshiis trapped in Raccoon City, that means thatMariois lurking around somewhere. The last thing that adorable green dinosaur needs is a selfish plumber ready to absolutely drop him off some buildings to make some tricky jumps.
Yoshi would constantly beducking from Mario like it was a new game, more so than the hordes of zombies. All it would take is one encounter with the mustached menace, and Yoshi would be doomed to fall into the zombie-filled streets of Raccoon City. Poor Yoshi.
9Professor Oak - Send A Group Of Children To Study The Zombies
Pokemon’sProfessor Oak would be a terrible person to be somewhere in Raccoon City. He’d somehow wind up taking care of a group of ten-year-olds, and we all know what that means. It’s up to that group of ten-year-olds to go out and study the zombies for Professor Oak.
I realized a bit ago that Professor Oak is a bit of an evil man, so it seems like this is the only true thing he’d do. No kid is going to be the very best like no one ever was if they had to go find some zombies, I believe the correct term would be zombie-food.
8Luigi - Take Shelter In The Only Building With A Ghost Infestation
It would be justLuigi’sluck that while in the middle of a zombie outbreak, he’d take shelter in the only building in the entire city that is also actively haunted by ghosts. Those flailing legs would really need to get to work avoiding both zombies and ghosts.

Although, it is entirely possible that if Luigi had his Poltergust, he’d simply take care of the entire outbreak himself. I’ve never tried fighting a zombie with a vacuum before, but I would imagine that one that could handle ghosts could also handle the undead.
7Link - Ransack Every Home
In every emergency situation, there are still people trying to take advantage of people. While I think Link is generally a great guy, I have a feeling he’d be an absolute menace in Raccoon City, thanks to his habit of walking right into people’s homes unannounced.
What does Link do when he gets into those homes? We all know the answer. He breaks everything in sight and throws as many pots as possible. I’d pity the poor person’s home he walks into if they loved flowers because the people of Raccoon City wouldn’t be the only thing dying that day.
6Captain Olimar - Befriend The Zombie Hordes
Honestly, who wouldn’t want to befriend Captain Olimar? Considering he’s capable of befriending and commanding all those littlePikmin, it’s entirely possible he could take command of the zombie hordes.
In the span of an hour, Olimar would have the zombies building a rocket instead of attacking innocent people. That may seem a little weird, but what are they going to do? Bite him? Olimar has a big glass dome over his head; he’s fine. I’ll be honest; I may have just given Nintendothe perfect zombie-themed Halloween DLCfor their next Pikmin game.
5Wario - Unleash A Dangerous Bomb
Sure, ifWariowas running around Raccoon City, he’d probably just wind up robbing as many banks as possible to get his hands on some money. I like to think Wario would get a lot more creative if he were in the midst of an outbreak.
In fact, sinceWario is objectively the best character to pick for any Mario game, I’d hazard a guess he’d actually try to save the day. He’d do that by preparing the ultimate bomb, a stink bomb. That’s right, Wario would try to put an end to the outbreak through the power of farts, something we can all salute him for.
4Byleth - Bring The Remaining Survivors Together
If Byleth wound up stuck in Raccoon City, they’d probably also be stuck there with an army, but let’s say that’s not the case. Byleth is all alone. That’s really not much of a problem considering Byleth would just raise a new army of Raccoon City survivors.
Ordinary people might be scared, but Byleth would put their fears to rest through some charming tea dates and a few gifts here and there. By the time Byleth was done bringing survivors together, there’d probably be enough people working together to rebuild the whole city.
3Princess Peach - Get Kidnapped By Zombies
I love Princess Peach as much as the next person, but I think we can all admit she gets kidnapped A LOT. It wouldn’t make any sense, but somehow, Princess Peach would absolutely end up getting kidnapped by a horde of zombies.

Why they wouldn’t simply eat her brains or something is anyone’s guess, but considering Mario would be out there searching for a Yoshi to abuse, she’d be stuck on her own for quite a while. Who knows? Maybe Peach could bake one of the most morbid cakes possible to get on the zombie’s good side.
2Duck Hunt Dog - Laugh At All The Chaos
Everyone knows that Duck Hunt Dog is a bit of a troll, so the dog would probably just run around the city laughing at everyone. A survivor runs into Nemesis, and Duck Hunt Dog pops up through a nearby window to snicker at them.
Any survivor would have to hope they didn’t run into a Licker because Duck Hunt Dog would be the one to make a noise that sends the creature into an absolute frenzy. The dog might be an underratedand often unheard-of Super Smash Bros character, but one night in Raccoon City would prove it could take some stocks.
1Kirby - Become The Ultimate Nightmare
I am of the opinion that whileKirbyis a friendly little creature, he also has the potential to be the evilest being around. You might think that Kirby could simply solve the issue for the city by eating all the Zombies, but you’d be wrong.
The last thing the world needs is Kirby to absorb the powers of zombies and other special infected because if he did, the world would be doomed. How could Kirby’s hunger ever be satiated when all he craved was human flesh?
