A lot can be said about social media. It’s a place where tons of people have been able to make careers they never thought possible, but it’s also a place where a group of people can engage in the strangest argument imaginable about exactly how toasted your bread should really be. Basically, it can be a place for good, and a place forthe greatest of evil.

Thanks to the many uses of social media, and the rise of social media influencers, people might wonder about which game characters would be big on social media. While you might think of characters like the Calypso Twins, there are some characters who would definitely be huge without being as big of a walking cliché as those two.
10Kratos
Kratos as an internet personality might not make sense to some people. After all, Kratos would probably end up screaming at his enemies. On second thought, that thing would probably make him a perfect candidate to be a Twitter star.
What I was referring to is theGod of Warprotagonists’ potential to become the ultimate family vlog channel. Imagine it,Kratos encouraging his boyto break his limits each and every day through a hearty shout and veiled threats of physical violence. So, basically the average family vlog channel.

9Commander Shepard
Another character who would be an unstoppable vlogger and Instagram star,Mass Effect’sconstantly-changing Commander Shepardwould be electric. The character oozes enough cheesy and playful energy that they wouldn’t have any trouble bringing viewers in just like they brought the galaxy together.
Let’s just hope Shepard didn’t come face to face with any particular hot dance floors or any floating jellyfish creatures. Nobody wants to see what would happen in the internet tried to cancel Shepard. My guess is that it would probably result in the control ending.

8Duke Nukem
We all know a few social media stars that we question exactly why and how they’re famous.Duke Nukemwould absolutely be the kind of person to be exactly that. Why he’s internet famous while his humor is stuck in the ’90s would be a real enigma.

It’s probably fair to say that he’d seek to capitalize on the “how to be a real man” crowd, offering up his own brand of wisdom. Exactly what that wisdom would be is anyone’s guess, but I’d imagine wisdom wouldn’t actually be the appropriate word to use.
7Steve
With how popular personal project and renovation videos are across the internet, it only makes sense thatMinecraft’sSteve would be an absolute phenom. He’d have the potential to take things a step further and become the next Mr. Beast if he really wanted.
The man could just buildStar Wars-themedobjects for 100 hours straight in some kind of ultimate nerd challenge, resulting in Steve immediately amassing a following. He might have a bit of difficulty considering he doesn’t speak all that much, but that might actually be refreshing for the internet.

6Handsome Jack
There are a number of ways someone like Handsome Jack would become a phenom of the social media world, but I’d guess he’d just be the type to throw out the hottest take possible on any of the many trending topics that pop up.He has too many classic quotesto not be that kind of guy.
He’d probably just decide that he was correct on any subject of his choosing and blast the worst take possible out to millions. All that engagement from the people who hate him would backfire, something we’ve seen time and time again.

5Leon Kennedy
You can’t tell me Leon Kennedy wouldn’t be the leader of a massive comedy sketch channel on YouTube if he wasn’t actively working to stop various zombie apocalypses. The man has comedic lines for days and days, and I know he’d have no issue building a following with them.
The best part is, Leon could just be himself, simply put into various wild situations. Anyone who can makehis classic bingo linework has the potential to be a comedic legend. That’s just how it works. I don’t make the rules.

4Sonic The Hedgehog
There are a lot of different waysSoniccould become big on social media, but I’d guess he’d be one of those challenge video people. Forget seeing how fast he could run somewhere — that’s too easy. I bet he’d take on challenges that specifically don’t involve running, just to tie back to his many spin-off games.
Can Sonic become the ultimate mixed-martial artist? Probably, considering the fact that he’s appeared in more fighting games than Sonic really has any right to have appeared in. With Tails as his sidekick, the possibilities are endless.

3Geralt Of Rivia
I hate to say it, butThe Witcher’siconic leading man Geralt would totally be a travel vlogger. He’d be one of those sappy people who teams up with Yennifer (Or Triss if you’re a person of significant taste) and gushes about whatever location he’s traveled to.

He’d probably want to avoid the Hanged Man’s Tree, as we’ve seen what happens when someone makes a bonehead and disrespectful decision to record something like that. I’m not saying Geralt would do that, but he definitely wouldn’t think of it as much of a problem at first.
2Link
Link is a bit of an oddball choice considering he doesn’t talk, and his skill set is incredibly combat based, but with him, there are two options. First, Link could be one of thosecharismatic cooking shows, so long as someone else handled the voiceover. Second, he could become an Instagram darling with his impressive photography skills.
We’ve seen what Link can do with that Sheikah slate, and we know he can be a selfie master. It would be a shocking little twist to see someone like Link become an Instagram influencer, but he’s got the flow that people love, so I bet he could do it.

1Tali’Zorah Narr Rayya
Considering Tali went from an underdog love interest to the internet’s first choice for a playthrough of the Mass Effect trilogy, It’s probably safe to say she’d be big no matter what she did. Her dorky and somewhat timid personality would create a massive following for the iconic Quarian.
It would probably be a situation of Tali having a specific topic to cover, but half of her fans are simply watching because of how much they enjoy her personality instead of the actual educational content. Don’t lie, I know you’d totally be a fan.
