The BT11: Dimensional Phase booster pack brought over 100 cards to theDigimoncard game, with various power, effects, and potential for your deck. As with all card-battling games, building the perfect deck takes time and diligence, and keeping your deck new and adaptable to any opponent should always be your top priority.

There are quite a few new yellow card additions in the Dimensional Phase, and all of them have their time and place. Still, when your deck has limited space, it’s crucial to know which goes above the rest and can take your game to the finish line.

10Tokomon

Tokomon is one of ahandful of Digi-Eggsreleased with the Dimensional Phase expansion, but its in-training status doesn’t make it any less appealing than the rest of the yellow Digimon. Once during each of your turns that you play a Digimon with either Angel, Archangel, or Fallen Angel traits, you’ll get to draw a card from your deck.

If you prefer Digimon with Angel traits, then having Tokomon in your deck is going to be an easy call, and the more you have, the more cards you can draw over time.

9Cutemon

Cutemon is a weaker Digimon that only does 1,000 DP, but it’s also cheap to play, so it’s a great option considering the perks you gain. When you play Cutemon, you’ll also pull one of your trashed Xros Heart Digimon under one of your Tamers. You’ll get to do this twice if any of your Digimon have Dorulumon in their name.

Cutemon is really only useful to you if you have a lot of Xros Heart Digimon, but if that’s a trait you know you like to use, you should definitely add this yellow Digimon to your deck.

8ClearAgumon

ClearAgumon is more simplistic than a lot of the other yellow Digimon, but it still has a purpose in your hand. This card has vaccine in its traits, making it a defender against any of your opponent’s cards with virus in their traits.

Aside from protecting you from virus Digimon, ClearAgumon does 4,000 DP when attacking, so you will be able to inflict a decent amount of damage to your opponent’s card.

7Kotemon

Kotemon is another Digimon with protective abilities. Whenever your opponent is attempting an attack, use Kotemon’s Blocker effect to suspend them, forcing the attack on this card instead. This can be used to prevent an already weakened Digimon from being deleted entirely or to protect a stronger card you have plans for in play.

Kotemon also attacks with 4,000 DP, so if it isn’t taken out when using Blocker, you can also do damage with it on top of preventing damage to one of your other Digimon.

6Angemon

Angemon is slightly different from other yellow Digimon because the effect works when a purple Digimon orTamer is in playinstead of another yellow. If you have one of those in play when Angemon is deleted, you can play a Devimon from your trash without paying the cost.

This allows you to have some variety to your deck, which is nice, but even if you don’t meet the requirements, Angemon does 5,000 DP while active. Ideally, you’ll have something purple out there, too, to maximize the benefits, but the hefty damage is also worth it.

5Centarumon

Centarumon sends one of your other yellow Digimon to the security stack when Digivolving. This is a huge help because your security stack is your literal safety wall, and when the cards are gone, you lose.

Aside from helping keep your security solid, Centarumon does 5,000 DP in battle, so until you Digivolve it, you’ll still be able to do some damage with this Digimon.

4Angewomon

Angewomon is probably best paired with Centarumon because it also changes your security stack. Upon Digivolving, Angewomon will let you go through your security stack to pull out a single card with the Angel, Archangel, or Fallen Angel trait and put it in your hand (after revealing it).

This gives you a small amount of direct control over what’s in your hand, allowing you to make a better plan with what you have in front of you instead of leaving it all to the chance of drawing a card from your deck.

3ClavisAngemon

ClavisAngemon is going to be a Digimon for later stages of the game because of cost and because it does a massive 12,000 DP. If you have less than five cards in your security stack, which is highly likely at this point in the game, then Digivolving ClavisAngemon will trigger the ability to place the top card from your deck on your security stack.

When your opponent takes their turn, if they cause you to lose a card from your security stack, ClavisAngemon will trigger one of their Digimon to lose 4,000 DP for the duration of their turn. This can affect their next move against you greatly, depending on what they have in play.

2Megalo Spark

Megalo Spark is a security card with the main effect of taking 8,000 DP from one of your opponent’s Digimon whenever this card is removed from the stack. If you have a yellow Digimon or Tamer in play when this happens, you’ll get to play Megalo Spark for one less cost.

Obviously, Megalo Spark can only be of use if it finds its way to the security stack, but if it doesn’t on its own, maybe ClavisAngemon can help you get it there.

1Holy Sunshine

Another security card, Holy Sunshine also costs one less to play if you have a yellow Digimon or Tamer in play when you use it. Better than Megalo Spark, however, this Digimon, when activated, will hit three of your opponent’s Digimon with -5,000 for the duration of their turn.

On top of reducing your opponent’s effectiveness in battle, they’ll lose one security attack, too, which all combined could cost them the game. At the very least, it will give you a chance to catch up if you’ve been lagging behind in the game.
